Bob Jones completed the 2015 season with a 9-2 record. Last year Bob Jones captured the region four title and a number one seed in the Class 7A playoffs. They finished region play with a 7-0 record. Bob Jones's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Vestavia Hills by a score of 28-17. As one of the best football programs in the state since 2010, Bob Jones has gone a combined 55-15. Their 79.0% winning percentage ranks 2nd in Class 7A over the past six seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Bob Jones has managed to compile a record of 147-128. Their 54.0% winning percentage ranks 17th in Class 7A and 143rd in the AHSAA. Their last losing season was 2006. The Patriots are led by head coach Kevin Rose who is entering his eighth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 66-17 over the past seven seasons at Bob Jones. The Patriots have successfully qualified for the playoffs every year since 2004 and expect to be included again when November rolls around. The Patriots open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent Dorman SC on Friday, August 19 at Madison City Schools Stadium. This will be the second meeting between Bob Jones and Dorman SC on the football field. The Patriots have a 1-0-0 record against Dorman SC. They last met in with Bob Jones returns 7A All-State Senior defensive back A.J. Harris. He was named to the first team last season. The Patriots also return Senior quarterback Brady Polson.
